Jean Hart – Artist of Precision and Imagination

Jean Hart is a self-taught artist based in Hampshire, known for her captivating photorealistic drawings and evocative fine art. Working primarily with graphite and Polychromos oil pencils, Jean brings remarkable detail and emotion to every piece, each one meticulously crafted based on individual client commissions. Her portrait work, often featuring people and pets, can take over 100 hours to complete, reflecting her deep dedication to precision and storytelling through art.
Beyond portraits, Jean welcomes commissions across a wide range of subjects, including landscapes, seascapes, abstracts, florals, and wildlife. Her ability to adapt to various themes ensures every piece feels deeply personal and beautifully executed.
Jean also explores expressive ink line drawings through her ongoing “I Can See” collection—an abstract series that invites the viewer to discover more the longer they look. These works add a unique layer of intrigue and sophistication to any space fortunate enough to display them.

I purchased a piece of artwork from Jean and cannot praise her service enough. Jean was so helpful in choosing the right artwork and finish for my home,I am so pleased with it. It is on full display and is admired daily.
I get so many compliments from visitors and would 110% recommend Jean for any one off piece or art, a commission, or a Limited Edition Print in the future.

I commissioned Jean to do a piece for me. My husband’s favourite Jazz Musician - John Coltrane. I was beyond excited to see it, she did not disappoint. Needless to say, my husband was lost for words. Thank you, Jean

I have had the privilege of knowing Jean for a number of years and already own some of her work. Recently I was lucky enough to purchase one of her I can see….. abstracts pieces, which I am delighted with. I love the way it draws your eye into several focal points, the touches of red alongside the gold, the intricate design and delicate detail show me something different each time I look at it.
